Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung, a powerful presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, said in response to the report that the son of Kwak Sang-do, a member of the People's Power, received 5 billion won as a severance pay from Hwacheon Daeyu.

Governor Lee posted on Facebook today (26th), saying, "5 billion won is suspected to be part of the cost of bribes that the Park Geun-hye government and national powers have blocked public development in Seongnam, like the torture of Yoo Cheol Yoo."

The governor pointed out, "Rep. Kwak Sang-do, a former prosecutor who falsified the writing of the will, made a bizarre claim such as 'Hwacheon Daeyu is for Lee Jae-myung', but now his son's 5 billion won is due to Lee Jae-myung's design."

This is a rebuttal to Rep. Kwak's statement today regarding his son's severance pay, saying, "This governor has created a structure for making such money."

Governor Lee asked, "Are you saying that I gave 5 billion won to someone who doesn't want to even breathe under the same sky?" and "If the government had been the mayor of Seongnam, it would have been privately developed as planned and 550 billion won would have been spent. Is it unfair?"

He then sarcastically said, "After this, sooner or later, the person who received 5 billion won is not my son, but Lee Jae-myung's son."

He also said, "There are many people who talk to me about prison, but it seems to me that Congressman Kwak's fortunes are all over. This is the aphorism I put on Seongnam city officials to see. 'Corruption Hell and Integrity Heaven,'" he said.
