10 people missing in China mudslide

Four people have been rescued as of Sunday morning, while more than a dozen others are still missing, after a mudslide triggered by torrential rain occurred in the province yesterday, local authorities in southwest China's Sichuan Province said.

Citing the provincial emergency management headquarters, Xinhua reported that the four people were inside a temporary shelter at a construction site when the collapse occurred.

The province has sent more than 100 people from different cities to the region for search and rescue operations, after more than a dozen people were reported missing.
