25 September 2021Romanian "Blue moon", directed by newcomer Alina Grigore, won the Golden Shell at the 69th San Sebastián International Film Festival. The film tells the story of a dysfunctional family who runs a hotel in a mountainous region of Romania.



This is the verdict of the jury formed by the Georgian director Déa Kulumbegashvili (president), with the Spanish actress Susi Sánchez, the directors Maite Alberdi (Chile) and Audrey Diwan (France, recent winner of the Golden Lion) and the American producer Ted Hope. . 



Special Jury Prize to "Earwig", directed by the French Lucile Hadžihalilović and filmed in English.



Silver conch for the direction of the Danish Tea Lindeburg for "As in heaven".



Conchiglia argento for the star performer ex-aequo to the young Danish Flora Ofelia Hofmann Lindahl, for "As in heaven", and to the American Jessica Chastain, for "The eyes of Tommy Faye", directed by Michael Showalter.



Silver shell for the supporting interpreter in the cast of the Spanish "Quién lo impide", by Jonás Trueba.
