A month and a half after the seizure of power by the Taliban, the government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is taking its marks and the Kabulians are trying to get on with their lives despite many difficulties.

Kabul is changed while retaining for the moment its particularity in the country.

The rides still rotate in the small amusement park adjacent to the Kabul Zoo.

We meet families walking there and young girls accompanied with colorful veils who cross in the alleys of young Taliban turbaned.

When young Taliban enthusiastically climb into the gondolas, the young women wait at the sides and watch the scene, dumbfounded.

"

 They scare me

,

 "

says a girl who made her first family outing this Saturday since the Taliban took power.

"

I am happy to have the opportunity to finally meet them

," a young Kabulian told us instead, pointing to a group of Taliban near a rifle fire pit.

One of the men tries to win over one of the hanging fluff, but misses its targets.

Women are scarce there, no more cash, no more work

Kabul is strange to anyone who knew the capital before the fall of the previous government.

In the streets, balloon sellers seem to have given way to those of Taliban flags and pins bearing the image of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Women are also rarer, including in the center of the capital where queues line the walls of the banks.

There is no more cash, no more work, lament many Afghans.

Hundreds are also selling their goods on the sidewalks of a neighborhood in Kabul.

More than nine out of ten households no longer have enough to eat according to the World Food Program (WFP).
