With our correspondent in London

Marie Boëda

At this London gas station, the tanks are almost empty.

Amanda gets out of her car, she is satisfied to have arrived on time.

 “

I fill my car with gasoline,

” she explains, smiling.

Because of the shortages.

Everyone is obviously panicking.

People need their vehicles to work.

This worries me

.

"

Impatience

The station is always full.

Motorists impatiently await their turn, between a sigh and a blast of the horn.

However, the Minister of Transport asked the population "

to continue as if nothing had happened.

But for Chris, who has to drive 200 kilometers today, it's easy to say.

"

I'm afraid I won't find gas on the highway and I will be stuck, he

says.

And I don't believe Brexit is going to help us improve the situation

.

"

The government could sign temporary visas to facilitate the arrival of foreign truck drivers.

Distraught customers

For Carl, the situation is incomprehensible.

This morning a friend called me.

He told me to get gas quickly.

Really, we don't know what's going on.

It's not just oil, when I go shopping, everything is lacking, the shelves are empty

.

With such a crowd, the pumps were emptied in a few hours.

Friday evening, September 24, faced with distraught customers, the manager replied that he hoped for a delivery the next day, but without any certainty.
