From the beginning of the year until the end of August, more than 309,000 corona tests have been carried out at the five southernmost test stations, from Svinesund up to northern Värmland.

Of these, 457 have been positive - less than 1.5 per thousand.

- There have not been so many positive answers.

Sometimes it has been several weeks between them, says Mona Stolpe who is head of the test center at Magnormoen at the border with Eda.

Test was the seventh day

Above all, it is work commuters that are tested, which are mostly every seven days.

- There have been very many tests, but nothing positive, says Laura Villerusa, who gets a test stick in her nose on the way to work.

The work to stop so-called import infection has been an important part of the Norwegian corona strategy.

"The test has been useful"

Although fully vaccinated can now travel freely, there are still many who need to be tested, including children and those who have only received one vaccine dose.

And Mona Stolpe believes that the test stations have been useful.

- There can be many who are infected if a positive can enter.
