An auction that ends Sunday in Australia features 13 vehicles from the 2015 dystopian blockbuster Mad Max Fury Road, promising to delight collectors.

"The first time I saw them, I'm pretty sure I heard one of the cars say + I need to be driven in anger," the expert told AFP. cars from Lloyds Auctions, Geoff McKew.

The gargantuan War Rig, a huge tanker truck piloted by the character of Charlize Theron Furiosa, or the Razor Cola, the reinvented Ford Falcon XB coupe GT that took on Max Rockatansky: the vehicles on sale are part of the savage armada that has slashed the screen in the award-winning fourth installment of George Miller's Mad Max franchise.

“They shouldn't be sitting in a warehouse, they should be there and getting the respect they deserve,” said Geoff McKew.

The sale has attracted worldwide interest, including casinos in Las Vegas and the Burning Man festival in the United States, McKew said.

Although he has no intention of letting them "go cheap", he finds it difficult to put a price on the fleet.

While sales will close on Sunday, owners will only sell the 13 vehicles together, in an effort to preserve part of cinema history.

Although none of the cars will be allowed on the street, it would be unlikely, Mr. McKew said, that the police would stop a "beast" like the "Gigahorse" from two 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, which is keen on barely in her temporary accommodation in a Sydney warehouse.

“When I first saw it start up, I wondered if I was having a heart attack,” he said.
