Canadians Kovrig and Spavor, detained earlier in China, flew to Canada

In December 2018, the media announced that Canadian citizen Michael Spavor was missing in China.

During the same period, it was reported that former Canadian diplomat Michael Kovrig was detained during his visit to Beijing.
