It is known that a woman in Vietnam received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine 10 minutes apart.

According to Vietnamese media Tuoi Cha on the 19th local time, on the 18th, local teachers were vaccinated with AstraZeneca (AZ) in Lethui District, Quang Binh Province, on the 18th.

Middle school teacher A, who came to the hospital to receive the vaccine that day, lined up again to receive the second vaccination after completing the first vaccination.

While waiting, he folded the paper with the first vaccination completed stamp in half and hid it from the medical staff.

The medical staff found out that Mr. A had already received the primary vaccine after re-vaccinating Mr. A and opening the vaccination certificate to get a stamp of confirmation.

The AZ vaccine is recommended to be administered every 8 to 12 weeks, but Mr. A received the second vaccine 10 minutes after the first.

He waited 40 minutes at the hospital for health monitoring, but returned home with no symptoms.

The hospital asked Mr. A, "If you have any symptoms, please contact me."

Regarding the reason for receiving the vaccine twice at 10-minute intervals, Mr. A said, "I thought it would be more effective. Originally, I was going to get the vaccine four times that day."

Local health authorities have instructed medical staff to check the vaccination history more thoroughly to prevent such an accident from happening again.
