An unidentified woman found off the coast of a remote Croatian island has confused investigative agencies.

According to the Associated Press on the 22nd local time, a report was received that a woman was found injured in Solin, a small island town in Croatia on the morning of the 12th.

Paramedics at the scene found a woman with bruises on her face, standing on a rocky shore.

The crew managed to rescue the woman from a sharp crevice, but she could not speak a word in Croatian.

I didn't have a cell phone or ID with me.

Shortly thereafter, the crew, who learned that the woman spoke English, discovered something even more surprising during their conversation.

The woman couldn't remember her name or how she got here.

It was a couple who first discovered the woman while fishing on the beach several hundred meters away. When the couple found a woman standing in a distant, rugged crevice, they didn't mind it at first, but until the next morning when the woman stood in the same place, they realized something was wrong.

According to the villagers, the woman was found on a dangerous coast with sharp rocks and strong waves that even locals would never visit.

Residents also said, "To get to this island from the land, you have to cross one bridge, but even that is not a bridge that an individual can cross alone." .

However, after the news about the mysterious woman went out, an unexpected person who knew this woman appeared.

Nina Smit, a resident of Los Angeles, USA, said, "I knew who it was as soon as I saw the photo of the article. It's Daniella Adamkova from Slovenia, who worked for the same company until 2015."

It is said that Adamkova joined Smith's company through an employment program at an NGO that helped the homeless at the time become self-reliant.

"I haven't heard from Mr. Adamkova since he said he was leaving for Ireland in July 2015," Smith explained.

Police inquired with the local Slovenian embassy and confirmed that the woman found with memory loss was actually Mr. Adamkova.

However, it is still unknown how Mr. Adamkova got to the remote island of Croatia.

"Mr. Adamkova had a difficult past, but he was very sincere, wise, and kind-hearted when he worked," said Mr. Smit. told

This is a 'news pick'.
