Russian military conducted exercises at mountain ranges in Tajikistan

Over 500 servicemen and about 80 pieces of weapons and military equipment of the Russian military base took part in the maneuvers.

“Crews of T-72 tanks, BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles fired at targets simulating ground and air targets at a distance of up to 2 thousand meters,” the press service said.

Including exercises of control firing from small arms, grenade launchers and combat vehicles were performed.

Earlier, the commander of the troops of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, commented on the exercises of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization "Peace Mission - 2021".
