During the month of September, three wolf attacks on sheep took place in Sörmland.

All three in eastern Sörmland adjacent to Sjundareviret.

In the latest attack, four sheep were killed and another 30 were killed after a wolf is believed to have entered a sheep pen waterway.

Last week, LRF demanded that the county administrative board make a decision on protection hunting.

According to regional chairman Johan Lagerholm, there is widespread concern among sheep owners in the area.

- They are very caring about their animals and end up in a mental pressure.

Going out to the pasture and having to see how about 20 animals have been killed is a terrible event.

It is difficult for an outsider to understand what trauma this entails.

"Complicated"

According to the adopted predator policy, it must be possible to achieve and maintain favorable conservation status in the country at the same time as keeping domestic animals is not seriously hampered.

Johan Lagerholm thinks that the conservation status in the area is favorable but that it affects the sheep owners.

- There are many members who are seriously considering whether they should continue to keep sheep.

The possibility of that has been considerably made more difficult, he says.
