The star striker of Paris SG Lionel Messi, hit in a knee, withdrew for the reception, Saturday, of Montpellier in Ligue 1, announced Friday his club.
The Argentinian "resumed the race today (Friday) according to the treatment protocol in place. A new point will be made on Sunday", two days before the shock in the Champions League against Manchester City, said PSG.
The "Pulga" suffers from a bone contusion to the left knee, after contact with Lyon defender Jérôme Boateng on Sunday (2-1).
This injury deprived him of the trip to Metz on Wednesday, where his team won in the last minutes (2-1).

Established twice since his arrival in the French capital, Messi is still running behind his first goal in his new colors.
He did not appear on Friday morning during the fifteen minutes of training open to the press.
Internationals Marco Verratti and Sergio Ramos will also be absent against Montpellier, PSG said.
The Italian, hit to a knee with his selection in early September, will resume training with the group on Sunday, according to his club.
