The great concert of the popular singer Werrason at the Zenith in Paris, scheduled for this Saturday, September 25, 2021, will not take place.

The Paris police chief Didier Lallement banned it in a decree dated September 20.

After the announcement of this cancellation, the reactions were not long in coming.

On social networks, messages of support for the artist are numerous and Werrason is planning a press conference this Saturday in Kinshasa.

Although the reasons put forward are clearly debatable, I respect this partisan position which has not been the subject of consultation with the production house

 ," he wrote in a press release.

These reasons, the Paris police prefect details them in his decree.

The concert takes place in a " 

particularly tense and violent political context between supporters and opponents of the regime in place in the DRC,

 " he wrote, stressing that Werrason is considered to be close to President Tshisekedi.
