A trial in the case of Russian woman Arzu Huseynova has begun in Istanbul.

She is accused of making drugs.

The girl was detained in the spring of this year at a hotel in Istanbul, when she was returning from the UAE.

“I do not believe that my daughter could have been involved with drugs.

She is an artist, she has always been passionate about creativity, and nothing like that has ever happened in her life, ”says Arzu's mother Valentina Huseynova.

Nigerian gifts

The woman believes that the drugs were either planted in Turkey, or the daughter could have been set up by a Nigerian named Kingsley, whom Arzu met several years ago.

“He's Nigerian.

I've seen him a couple of times.

Such a pleasant, always polite, calm, reasonable.

My daughter never spoke badly about him.

The only thing that I always drew her attention to was that when I spoke to Kingsley, children’s voices were heard in the background.

Although he said he was single, ”the woman recalls.

Two years ago, according to his mother, Kingsley presented the girl with a gift: a tour of the Middle East.

“The trip was successful, my daughter was full of impressions,” says Valentina.

This year, he again presented Arz with a week-long trip along the Ethiopia - Arab Emirates - Georgia - Russia route, continues the mother.

In Ethiopia, according to the woman, Arzu met with Kingsley, he gave her a bag of things and asked to give her to a friend in Georgia.

The girl agreed, but, according to her mother, her ticket to Tbilisi was canceled due to the fact that the country allowed entry only to vaccinated tourists.

“Arzu found out about this at the Dubai airport, and took a ticket to Turkey, where upon arrival it was discovered that the luggage had flown to Georgia.

A day later, she was told that the suitcases were returned, but drugs were found in them - 3 kg of cocaine.

The police broke into the hotel where she lived, knocked her to the floor, broke her knee.

She called us around 12 at night shouting “Mom, help me, I have problems,” says Valentina.

According to her, her daughter said that when she was brought to the police station for interrogation, "the bag was torn, empty, without tags, and that such Chinese bags are sold on every corner."

No evidence of guilt

After the daughter was detained by Turkish law enforcement officers, for some reason she was charged with drug production.

At the same time, the acquaintance who gave her the trip and asked to give her the bag disappeared.

The girl's mother says that his surname is unknown to them.

The family has only a sketch of his portrait, which was made by his daughter.

At the same time, as the woman assures, at the moment there is no direct evidence of Arzu's guilt in the case: no photo or video confirming that the drugs were found in the luggage registered specifically for the girl.

The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Istanbul told RT that they were monitoring Huseynova's situation, and at the end of August, the diplomatic mission officers visited her.

"From the moment of receipt of the notification of the arrest of Huseynova, contact was established with her mother Valentina Huseynova, the competence limits of all consular institutions were clarified, and the necessary recommendations were given, including in connection with the involvement of a lawyer licensed to carry out professional activities in the territory of the Republic of Turkey" , - explained to RT the attaché of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation Huseyn Guliyev.

According to him, the consuls also met with Arzu Huseynova herself.

“In particular, they clarified the procedure for her personal appeal to the administration of the correctional institution with a request to provide permission for telephone conversations with relatives,” the attache tells RT.

- On September 14, the first court session was held, which was attended by a consular officer and the mother of the detainee. "

Arzu's lawyer refused to comment on RT's situation with his client.

“The lawyer promises to get her out, but at the same time he says that there are no guarantees, everything depends on the judge.

And my daughter wrote that they are now grabbing everyone in Turkey, there is a real insane asylum in prisons, there are a lot of inadequate people sitting there.

She herself is afraid of them, you never know what they can do, they can kill, they can cripple, ”says Valentina and recalls the court session at which she finally managed to see her daughter.

“She has lost a lot of weight, turned gray.

I fell to my knees, screaming "mommy".

When they handcuffed her, I passed out.

Which drugs?

What she is accused of is complete nonsense, ”the mother cries.
