According to the US "World Journal" report, the University Council of the United States released the latest SAT scores for 2021, showing that the SAT scores of high school graduates in both Massachusetts and Victoria have improved, with Asian students having the highest scores. However, the number of students participating in the college entrance preparation test plummeted, and the proportion of graduates participating in the SAT test in the two states accounted for less than 50%, highlighting another impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic on the education system.

  According to the SAT score report, only 41% of Victorian high school graduates took the SAT test in 2021, compared with 65% last year; the number of SAT tests in Massachusetts has dropped even more, from 88% of high school graduates in 2020. This year’s 47%; 100% of high school graduates in Washington took the SAT last year, and this year it has dropped to 90%.

  The SAT test is a college entrance test administered by the non-profit university council. It includes reading and writing (ERW) and mathematics. This year, 38,927 high school graduates in Victoria took the test, with a total average score of 1151, slightly higher than last year's 1116. The score is also higher than the national average score of 1060; among them, Asian students have the highest overall average score of 1,264 points, followed by white students with a total average score of 1172.

  In the state’s largest public school system, Fee County, only 63% of students participated in the SAT, or 9,318. The participation rate was 4.4% lower than last year. The total average score was 1201, which exceeded the state and the national average.   There are 33,457 students in Massachusetts taking the SAT this year, with a total average score of 1073, which is higher than last year's 1029.   In terms of individual subjects, the Victorian Reading and Writing test averages 584, Massachusetts 542, Washington 500, and the U.S. average 533; the math test scores are Victoria’s average of 567, Massachusetts’s 531, and Washington’s 487. The national average score is 528.

  In addition, the number of students taking SAT exams this year has dropped by 31.4% globally. The University Council blamed this on the epidemic, and some test centers closed or reduced test services.
