On the third of September, the first case of covid-19 was found at a nursing home in Överkalix.
Since then, 17 users have been diagnosed with covid-19.
Eight of them have now died, of which seven were vaccinated.
When SVT Norrbotten spoke to the social manager in mid-September, everything was under control and the infected felt relatively well, but since then something has happened.
- This is very remarkable and we will now look at what it can all be due to, he says to SVT, says infection control doctor Anders Nystedt.
"Everyone is infected at the same time"
According to the first report from the infection tracing, the infection has come in via staff, but at present it has not been fully established what has caused the large covid outbreak at the nursing home in Överkalix.

Will we see even more deaths at the accommodation?
- In the last ten days, there is no new infection, so probably not, says Anders Nystedt, infection control doctor.
