It was at the end of May this year that SVT together with Danmarks Radio was able to reveal that the American military intelligence service NSA spied on Swedish leading politicians via Danish internet cables.

Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist was then very critical of how Denmark had acted.

In several interviews with SVT, he said that he demands that the Danish government tell which Swedish people and companies have been tapped.

But the Minister of Defense does not yet seem to have received any concrete answers from the Danish government.

Today, he informed the Riksdag's Defense Committee about the contacts they had and that they will not go any further and that it is time to "move on".

- In light of the information we have received from Denmark and the USA through the dialogues we have had, we believe that we can now move forward in various defense and security policy collaborations, says Peter Hultqvist.

Not happy

But several of the committee members were not satisfied with the answers given by the Minister of Defense.

- I do not share that view, but this process must be allowed to continue.

We have called the Minister of Defense several times to the Defense Committee without receiving any information about what he said he would deliver this spring.

And we have still not received these messages, says the defense committee chairman Pål Jonson (M) who says that the committee will call the minister again if all answers are not forthcoming.

Committee member Mikael Oscarsson (KD) was also critical of the lack of information.

- There are too many question marks to sort out, what happened during this period to be able to understand also in the future.

So this is not enough, says Mikael Oscarsson.
