The multisport course is approximately 2.5 kilometers long and is mainly built on parts of Hudiksvall's existing ski stadium.

- The course is built so that you use the natural terrain to the maximum, but we also have a few different loops in the course.

From beginners to elite will be able to use the facility, says Lasse "Blixten" Jonsson, racing manager at Hudiksvalls IF.

Safer training environment

The idea of building a paved course comes from young people in the club, who wanted a safer training environment.

But the paved course also means that the ski stadium can be used to a much greater extent in the future.

- I think they extend the season by two months both in the spring and autumn, says chairman Stefan Skalman of Hudiksvalls IF.

Record fast

The project has, to say the least, gone quickly: From having started planning in June 2020 and putting the shovel in the ground just over a year later, the course is now ready to be inaugurated.

The project has cost SEK 5.1 million and is financed through grants from the General Heritage Fund, Iggesund Social Fund, Hälsingland Savings Bank, Hudiksvall Municipality and RF-Sisu Gävleborg.
