Al-Quds International Foundation issued an appeal to the Arab and Islamic peoples to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque against what it described as the "unprecedented and liquidating" Israeli aggression.

In a statement on Thursday, the foundation said that Al-Aqsa Mosque has witnessed an unprecedented aggression since its occupation in 1967, by imposing the entire biblical ritual in it as if it had become the alleged "temple".

She considered that since September 8, Al-Aqsa Mosque has entered a critical stage of liquidating its identity by imposing biblical rituals in it, noting that hundreds of extremists stormed it and performed biblical rituals in one way or another.

The Beirut-based institution considered that what is happening is a dedication to consider Al-Aqsa as an actual center of biblical worship, which actually paves the way for the establishment of the alleged Jewish temple in the place of Al-Aqsa and over its entire area.

She described what is happening as "a liquidatory aggression against the identity of Al-Aqsa Mosque," addressing her appeal to the Jordanian government, which is a reference for the Jerusalem Endowments, to review this dangerous behavior on the part of the occupation.

It also addressed its appeal to the Almoravids, the Jerusalemites, the Palestinians of the interior and the West Bank, as well as to the resistance and the Arab and Islamic peoples, in order to defend Al-Aqsa.

Earlier on Thursday, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, and said in a statement that "the extremists' incursions and their actions are a violation of the historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa."

Since September 6, the Israelis have been celebrating a number of Jewish holidays, and they will continue until the 27th of the same month, during which hundreds of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque several times, guarded by the Israeli police.
