Tunisians have been waiting for their president's roadmap for eight weeks.

The details were given to them, in part, on Wednesday evening.

The Tunisian Parliament remains frozen, the immunity of deputies too.

To this is now added the loss of their salary.

The master of Carthage has decided to replace the Assembly, since he will henceforth legislate by decree for a period which has not been specified.

This Wednesday evening, several observers see in these new measures a sign that Tunisia is gradually moving towards a presidential regime.

Some even use the qualifier “presidentialist”.

The president's announcements are also causing concern among lawyers, but also members of Tunisian civil society.

On the political side, the Islamist Ennahdha party, so far the first force in the Assembly, reacted through the voice of its president Rached Ghannouchi and announced its refusal of these presidential measures which, according to him, amount to an abandonment of the 2014 Constitution.
