China News Service, September 23. According to Singapore’s “Lianhe Zaobao” report, with the increase in the number of cases in the COVID-19 community, the Singaporean authorities have found more cases among hospital staff, patients and visitors. Therefore, all hospitals in Singapore start from 9 local time. From October 24th, public visits will be suspended until October 23 to reduce the risk of virus transmission.

During the period of prohibition of visitors, four types of patients can be allowed to visit by relatives and friends after being evaluated by the hospital, including critically ill patients, pediatric patients, pregnant or postpartum women, and patients who need care by caregivers.

The Ministry of Health of Singapore pointed out in a statement that, with the exception of critically ill patients, patients who are allowed to visit by relatives and friends can only be visited by one person a day.

Five visitors are allowed to register for dying patients, but only two visitors are allowed to visit each time.

Regardless of whether vaccinated or not, all visitors must have a negative nucleic acid test before they can be allowed to visit.

Visitors must wear masks and are not allowed to eat or drink in the ward or use the toilet in the ward.

In addition, from September 24, when high-risk patients go to the emergency department of the hospital or the 24-hour emergency clinic, they must undergo compulsory nucleic acid testing.

This includes patients who are in the emergency department for observation, as well as those who have to remove their masks for at least 15 minutes for testing or treatment.

Whether or not they have been vaccinated, patients must be tested.

The Singapore government will bear the cost of testing until the end of this year.

If relatives and friends of patients stay in the doctor for observation for more than 30 minutes, they must also undergo nucleic acid testing.

Accompanying relatives and friends may have to pay for nucleic acid testing, which needs to be determined according to the requirements of the relevant hospital.

The Ministry of Health of Singapore urges patients with only mild symptoms to seek medical attention at family clinics or emergency care centers.

In order to detect the confirmed staff as soon as possible, the Ministry of Health stated that it has strengthened the frequency of testing for hospital staff and outsourced personnel, and will continue to adjust measures according to the epidemic situation.
