Third day of stock exchanges after the crash on Monday: the Ftse Mib index in Milan marks + 1.09% and improves compared to the opening.

Almost all sectors are up.

Utilities in particular: + 2.80% for Enel, + 1.57% for A2A, + 0.80% for Hera.

Prime Minister Draghi, speaking at Confindustria's annual meeting, confirmed that in the afternoon on the CDM there will be a 3 billion euro provision to avoid increases in electricity bills.

There were no references to tax increases for hydroelectric power producers, as was the case in Spain.

In the rest of Europe, Frankfurt and Paris + 0.67%, London + 0.12%. The Bank of England announced today that interest rates and the amount of securities purchased will not change.

Two news items preceded today's opening. In China, the real estate giant Evergrande, at risk of bankruptcy, has announced that it will pay maturing interest for the equivalent of 35 million dollars.

And the American central bank, the Fed, has announced that "soon" will begin the so-called tapering, that is, the reduction of purchases of securities of the anti-pandemic program, now equal to 120 billion dollars a month.

It is not yet clear whether this reduction will begin in November or December, but, added Governor Powell, it will end at the end of June 2022. Only then can we talk about a rate hike.

The reaction of the markets has already been positive since yesterday: + 1% for the main Wall Street indices, also today rising futures.
