At least 500 Haitians have already been deported from the United States and more are waiting, Reuters reports.

The mass deportations have drawn criticism from both Republicans and Democrats.

And Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, states that it can be contrary to international law as the refugees have not had their grounds for asylum tried before they are sent back.

"We are concerned about the images we have seen and that we see all these migrants, refugees and asylum seekers being transported to Port-au-Prince," said Marta Hurtado, a spokeswoman for the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Kamala Harris: "Deeply appalled"

Images of mounted police officers meeting refugees at the border with reins whipping in the air and misconduct in the camp in Texas where thousands of refugees have gathered have aroused disgust.

Vice President Kamala Harris has expressed concern and condemned the actions at the border where migrants are being abused by the police.

The White House has also criticized the use of reins to threaten migrants, and has begun an investigation into what happened.

"People should never be treated that way and I am deeply appalled by this," Harris said in a statement.

Builds steel wall of cars

On Wednesday, the news agency AP showed new pictures on the Rio Grande river that divides Mexico from the United States.

A long wall of cars that will now stop the migrants.

"We have created a steel wall of cars that prevent everyone from crossing the river," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott explained in an interview.

Abbott is in favor of former President Trump's initiative to build a wall against Texas and accuses President Biden of being responsible for the makeshift tent camps where thousands of migrants are now crowded.

Texas has equipped itself with cars on the river bank and under a highway, thousands of refugees are crammed into a temporary camp.
