The 65-year-old driver, boss of a small transport company in his country, was tried on Wednesday at the Mulhouse criminal court.

At the bar, the defendant reaffirmed that he was unaware of the presence of these narcotics.

He was finally sentenced to four years in prison, with continued detention, a ten-year ban from French territory as well as a customs fine of 686,520 euros.

The tractor in his truck was also confiscated.
