Several dozen Marseille supporters came out of the visitor park and destroyed equipment before the stewards restored order on Wednesday after the 0-0 draw in Angers, noted an AFP journalist.

"Not that, guys, what an image we give!" Pleaded the stadium announcer, calling for calm.

Players and club staff had already left the field for several minutes.

The incidents lasted a few minutes, then the stewards managed to escort each group back to its stand.

"There was a provocation on the part of the Angevin tribune, with fingers of honor and firecrackers which were sent from the Angevin side towards the Marseillais. The Marseillais responded, it is a classic and stupid scheme, d 'one side and the other. I'm not accusing anyone,' Jacques Cardoze, OM's communications manager, told reporters.

At the Raymond Kopa stadium, the visitors' park is located in the same grandstand as the Angevin Ultras, and the names of birds between the two groups are frequent.

"It is a collective responsibility, there is not a stadium, a team ... We can see that it is starting to stain. Everyone must be responsible for that", pleaded M Cardoze.

"People have to be responsible. We have been deprived of football for 15 months and people are not smart enough to tell themselves that we are coming to see football, just football. I especially feel great sadness. C 'is not acceptable, "he insisted.

The two coaches, who did not witness the incidents, did not comment on the subject after the match.
