An eight-year-old child discovered three thieves on his way home, in Mirabeau (Vaucluse), reports

La Provence on

Thursday.

The little boy had been picked up by his grandfather from the village school after a case of Covid-19 which forced the establishment to close a class.

But the grandfather would not have stayed with the child, leaving him alone until the return of his parents.

Three women who had entered the accommodation would have pushed the boy before seizing various goods and fleeing.

The child was not hurt but he was very shocked, like his parents.

The suspects have so far not been found.

An investigation is underway at the Pertuis gendarmerie.

A new protocol at school?

On the side of the town hall, we wonder about the protocol to be put in place in the event of a new class closure at school. "I am devastated, we could have had a tragedy," Mayor Robert Tchobdrenovich told Facebook. The latter is due to meet with the director of the establishment this Thursday. He wishes "not to let out of school, at the request of anyone and for anything, a child without guarantee that this one, once out, is safe, with the confirmation of the parents" .

The mayor plans to set up a new system in the event of coronavirus within the school.

Students in the relevant class who cannot be picked up directly by their parents would be confined.

Meals would be brought to them directly in the room and they could leave the building once all the classrooms have been emptied.
