“As a result of three special operations carried out in September 2021 with the military support of special forces of the FSB of Russia, 15 members of the terrorist community were detained. Three criminal cases were initiated against the five detained persons, and the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention against all the detained malefactors. With regard to 10 foreigners, a decision was made to expel them to the country of origin with the closure of entry to the Russian Federation for various long periods, ”the statement says.

As noted in the press service of the FSB, criminal proceedings have been opened on the grounds of crimes provided for in Articles 205.1 ("Assistance in terrorist activities"), 205.2 ("Public calls for terrorist activities, justification or propaganda of terrorism"), 205.4 ("Organization of a terrorist community and participation in it "), 222.1 (" Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives "), 223.1 (" Illegal manufacture of explosives ") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

"An ammonium nitrate explosive with a total mass of about 3 kg was withdrawn from illegal circulation, which the cell members made on their own in order to implement their criminal plans," the FSB added.

According to the data presented, the terrorist community was organized by two natives of one of the countries of Central Asia.

From May to September 2021, they carried out a systematic propaganda of the ideas of terrorism among their compatriots.

Subsequently, three foreigners joined the community, taking on the responsibility of committing terrorist acts in the Middle Urals, including through explosions and armed attacks on Russian citizens with the use of cold weapons.
