22 September 2021 The Federal Reserve, as expected, has decided to leave interest rates unchanged at 0-0.25%, a level to which they were raised in March last year to counter the negative effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the economy US.

The decision was announced by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the monetary policy arm of the Fed, at the end of the meeting that was held yesterday and today.
