“The military leaders of Russia and the United States held a (bilateral) meeting in Finland.

The parties also met with the President of Finland and the commander of the armed forces (Timo Kivinen), ”the press service of the Finnish armed forces quoted TASS as saying.

It is noted that “the representatives of Finland did not participate in the meeting (between Russia and the United States),” but the country's authorities offered conditions for its holding.

Earlier it was reported that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov and the head of the Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces Mark Milli, during a meeting in the Helsinki region, discussed issues of reducing the risk of incidents during military activities.
