According to Peskov, for Moscow "what is important is that Biden said that the wars have ended, that the age of diplomacy has begun."

At the same time, he expressed regret that Biden did not make "any statements that the relationship should be arranged after all on the basis of mutual respect."

“As for the mention of the Russian region in the main context, together with an independent state, well, probably, the proofreaders of the speech made a mistake, because from the point of view of political geography, this is wrong,” Peskov quotes TASS.

He added that Chechnya had already responded to Biden's statements "in a very colorful and comprehensive manner."

Biden, during a speech at the UN General Assembly on September 21, called on the international community to take collective action to protect the rights of sexual minorities around the world, mentioning Chechnya and Cameroon.

Later, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called Biden's statements "strange and absurd."

He also invited the President of the United States to visit the republics.
