More people are confirmed infected in Västerbotten now than a year ago

Week 36 was the 197 confirmed cases of covid-19 in Västerbotten, compared with only 7 cases the same week last year.  

- We have a continued high spread of infection and we see it especially among younger, unvaccinated adults and young people.

That is why it is important that we continue to keep our distance and those who can go and get vaccinated, says Therese Thunberg.

Will live long with the virus

The increase also applies to week 35. At that time, only 13 people had covid-19 last year against 114 infected this year.

We will live with this virus for a long time and we will see if we need to supplement with a third vaccine dose here in the future, says Therese Thunberg.
