Article 1 was approved with 208 votes in favor and 28 against, Article 2 was approved with 200 votes in favor and 27 against. The final vote on the bill will take place in tomorrow's session which will begin at 9:30 am.

Article 1 of the bill contains a series of delegations to the Government, which must be exercised within one year from the entry into force of the law. Article 2 provides for changes to the criminal code and the code of criminal procedure, which are immediately mandatory.

The objective of the bill is to accelerate the criminal process also through its deflation and its digitization.

Some measures are aimed at strengthening the defensive guarantees and the protection of the victim of the crime. An innovative discipline concerns the reasonable duration of the appeal judgment, which is prevented from being prosecuted in the event of excessive duration.
