China News Service, September 22. According to the Russian Satellite Network, the dialogue between the astronauts of the International Space Station and the experts of the ground flight control center live broadcast by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) showed that the Russian "Star" was operating when the cabin air-conditioning system was operating. The service has an unpleasant smell.

According to reports, astronauts smelled a peculiar smell next to the air-conditioning system of the "Xingchen" service cabin.

Russian astronaut Oleg Nowitzki said in response to a question from an expert from the Moscow State Ground Flight Control Center about the intensity of the odor: "I think the smell has faded."

Experts pointed out that the two air-conditioning systems had been closed at that time, and the astronauts were required to wipe off the possible odors with a cloth so that the professionals could analyze them later and turn on the air purification system if necessary.

Russian astronauts reported on the night of September 8 that the "Star" service cabin alarm sounded and there was a smell of smoke and burning plastic or electronic components, but no source was found.

Then, they turned on the air purification system.

The representative of the Russian National Aerospace Corporation subsequently confirmed that when the battery was automatically charged, the smoke sensor was activated and the accident alarm alarmed.

The members of the 65th crew currently work on the International Space Station, including Russian astronauts Oleg Nowitzki, Peter Dubrov, and American astronauts Mark Van der Hey, Shane Kimbro, and May Gen MacArthur, Japanese astronaut Akira Hoshide (Commander of the International Space Station) and French astronaut Pesquee.
