- I have spoken with both the municipal council and the opposition council in several rounds, and then I wanted to come here to listen to the police and meet the municipality, to see what they are doing together to stop this and reverse the development, says Mikael Damberg (S).
The police are gathering strength
After the latest serious incidents in the districts of Skäggetorp, Ryd and Berga, the Minister of the Interior received a report on the work of the police.
- Right now, the police are making a large gathering of forces where they get a lot of resources here and have started a special investigation group to work more cohesively with the various shootings.
But more needs to be done.
Above all, everyone who knows something about these events needs to tell the police, because I think that the people of Linköping are tired of this violence, says Mikael Damberg (S).
Some people in the affected areas feel strong anxiety, while others shrug their shoulders and think it is now everyday food.
