Among the signatories of this text, we find in particular the clothes Patagonia, the carrier Lyft, the consulting company CapGemini, the ice cream Ben & Jerry's or even the Body Shop stores.

Some of these companies have even donated money to Texas family planning.

The American giants did not wish to associate themselves with this declaration.

Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon and Google, which have taken a stand on other social issues such as immigration, are absent subscribers.

This

new Texas law

, which came into force on September 1, prohibits abortion, even in cases of rape or incest, beyond six weeks.

It also makes it possible to take legal action against a driver who allegedly drove a pregnant woman to a clinic.

Two carriers Uber and Lyft have therefore promised to cover the legal costs of their drivers, who would be prosecuted under this new law.
