The Paris Stock Exchange regained ground Tuesday the day after a heavy decline the day before attributed to the fear of a default by the Chinese real estate developer Evergrande, going back above 6,550 points at the close.

The Parisian CAC 40 index rose 96.92 points to 6,552.73 points the day after a sharp drop of 1.74%.
