It is Fredrik Ahlstedt and Therez Almerfors who in a letter to the municipal board's working committee propose that the communication staff should be reviewed to "increase openness and transparency and ensure freedom of information".
They also want the staff to hire fewer consultants and for new guidelines to be developed for the press and media management.
Presented at a meeting
During the investigation, Ahlstedt and Almerfors want all press releases with politicians as senders to be paused and that no more consultants be brought in to work for the communications staff.
The proposal will be presented to the municipal board's working committee, a meeting that will take place on Tuesday afternoon.
