Allegedly, those involved in the coup attempted to control the national radio station in the capital that morning, and most of them belonged to the armored forces.

According to a report by the Sudanese National Television, the official interrogation of the suspects involved in the attempted coup is about to begin.

The local media quoted a member of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council as saying that choosing a military coup will only turn us into a failed and weak country.

  After former President Bashir was deposed in April 2019, Sudanese military and civilian representatives reached a 39-month power-sharing agreement under the leadership of Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk.

The "Sudan Post" reported that the parties have deep differences in the political field.
