A 35-year-old man was sentenced Friday to twelve months in prison with a suspended sentence and a fine, for a burglary committed in an Action store in Montigny-le-Bretonneux (Yvelines).

On September 13, the trade department alerted the police after the disappearance of 18,000 euros in the safe, reports 76actu.

The suspicions of the police quickly fell on an employee on sick leave at the time of the facts.

CCTV analysis showed the thief entered without breaking and entering and appeared to know the area well.

The police bitch finds the banknotes

During a first visit to the suspect's home, officials specializing in burglary cases found nothing.

They finally got their hands on more than 13,000 euros hidden in envelopes, in another accommodation previously occupied by the thirty-something.

It was a bitch from the police force who sniffed out the banknotes.

At first, the employee denied the facts before confessing to the burglary.

He was therefore tried in the context of a preliminary conviction procedure.
