A 32-year-old motorist died this Sunday afternoon after a road accident that occurred overnight from Saturday to Sunday between Chappes and Ennezat (Puy-de-Dôme).

The man was driving on the D210 when his vehicle left the road.

The reason why he lost control of his car has still not been clarified, reports

A shock with a tree for some unknown reason

The vehicle then struck at least one tree before coming to an end on the roadside.

The victim suffered a cardiopulmonary arrest and had lost consciousness when the gendarmes and firefighters arrived at the scene of the accident after being alerted.

The rescuers took charge of the seriously injured driver and provided him with first aid.

Thanks to their intervention, the man remained alive, but his vital prognosis was engaged.

In critical condition, he was taken to Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital (Puy-de-Dôme), where he died a few hours later.

The thirty-something was from Riom (Puy-de-Dôme).
