President Moon Jae-in started the official schedule of the UN General Assembly with a speech at the opening ceremony of SDG Moment, which means 'Sustainable Development Goals'.



President Moon emphasized the role of so-called 'future generations' along with the international community's cooperation to overcome global crises such as climate change and poverty.



[President Moon Jae-in: The sensitivity and empathy of the younger generation may find a solution to the problems that the older generation could not solve because of the fear of change.]



Then BTS went up to the podium to give advice to young people suffering from the Corona crisis. Delivered a message of hope.

end of the BTS speech, a pre-recorded performance video set in the background of the UN General Assembly was broadcast all over the world.



In an interview with the UN after the speech, President Moon and BTS urged the active participation of future generations for the sustainable development goal.



After the speech, President Moon held bilateral talks with the leaders of the UK and Slovenia, and a meeting with UN Secretary-General Guterres, before going to the UN General Assembly keynote address tomorrow.
