- There were many electric scooters thrown and parked incorrectly in the middle of sidewalks, says Stefan Andersson.

During the weekend, a company put out electric scooters around central Växjö, despite the municipality clearly saying no to the bikes.

According to information to Smålandsposten, this involves up to 300 bicycles.

The police showed up

One who reacted to the new city vehicles was Stefan Andersson.

He decided to clean up a bit on the streets, something that caught the attention of law enforcement.

- The police came to me and informed me that I was not allowed to throw them away.

Electric scooters are heavy and I moved them so you could pass, he says.

In a motion, the Social Democrats in Växjö propose that the municipality now urgently draw up a set of rules with the possibility of deciding on sanctions against companies that do not respect the municipality's line.

Växjö municipality is developing clearer rules for this type of activity.
