On Friday, the news came that the Swedish Public Health Agency (FHM) recommends that children from the age of twelve be offered a vaccine against covid-19.

Both Region Kronoberg and Region Kalmar expect to be up and running week 41, the time that FHM has recommended.

- It is good that they get their vaccine as soon as possible.

And we want to have time to vaccinate them before the flu vaccination of the elderly week 45, says Lena Andersson Nazzal, vaccine coordinator in Kronoberg.

Both regions are now working to coordinate the municipalities, schools and student health in order to obtain a vaccination permit in the school premises.

- The challenge is that the young people are scattered in many different schools.

But it is important to have a safe and good environment, says Marie Ragnarsson, vaccine coordinator in the Kalmar County Region.
