President Moon Jae-in, who is visiting New York, USA to attend the UN General Assembly, will meet with Pfizer CEO Albert Bulla on the night of the 21st (Korean time).

This is a step toward establishing a global vaccine hub, and President Moon will express his appreciation for Pfizer's efforts to supply vaccines and call for expanded cooperation in the future.

President Moon will also attend the signing ceremony of the Korea-U.S. vaccine cooperation agreement.

This is part of the follow-up measures for the Korea-US global vaccine partnership agreed at the Korea-US summit in May.

The Blue House explained its significance, saying, "It will contribute to securing vaccine sovereignty and an early leap into a global vaccine hub."
