The incident occurred in Västra Götaland in April last year.

The convicted police officer was the instructor of a number of police aspirants, two of whom stopped a man for speeding.

When the policeman saw that it was an acquaintance, he let the speeder go on without a fine.

The driver showed his gratitude by swishing money that was supposed to go to cake.

The next day, the policeman bought a cake and invited the aspirants.

Then he went on with the cake to his regular colleagues, and said that the cake was a thank you from a person who did not get rid of the driver's license.

A manager responded and reported the incident.

In February, the man was sentenced to probation for misconduct and taking a bribe.

The Court of Appeal has now decided to acquit him of the point of misconduct, but still considers that he has been guilty of taking a bribe.

The Court of Appeal sentenced the police to a 40-day fine of SEK 320, GT writes.

The speeding driver was sentenced in the district court to a 60-day fine of SEK 300 for giving a bribe.

That verdict remains.
