After a long period of internal strife, the Democrats' party board today made the decision to exclude the party's municipal councilor Henrik Munck from the party with immediate effect.

- We have been working on this problem for a year and a half, says Thomas Hedberg, chairman of the Democrats' party board.

The basis for the decision must have been based on conflicts between management and staff.

- We have brought in HR consultants and written warning letters, but it has not helped, says Thomas Hedberg.

Remains on the municipal council

Henrik Munck himself says that his actions were completely in line with the party's organizational culture, and that he believes that the conflict can still be sorted out.

- Many within the party expect that all parties really try to sort this out.

And what has really happened has not been rectified yet, he says.

Will you remain in your post as municipal councilor?

- Yes.

I feel that I have broad and great support in the party, he says.
