20 September 2021 About forty convictions against heads and affiliates of the Casamonica clan. This was decided after 7 hours in the council chamber by the judges of the 10th criminal section of the Court of Rome who recognized the mafia-like association for the criminal organization active in the eastern area of ​​the capital. Extortion, usury and illegal possession of weapons are among the crimes alleged. The trial started with the investigation of the Carabinieri called "Gramigna" and coordinated by the prosecutors of the Dda in piazzale Clodio. For this same affair, in May 2019, 14 abbreviated sentences and three plea agreements were ordered.
