Nathan Paulin, 27, walked 70 meters in the air between the Eiffel Tower and the Challiot Theater on the other side of the river on Saturday.

A crowd of spectators gathered below the Eiffel Tower to watch the acrobat perform his daring task.

- It was harder than I thought, but beautiful, says Nathan Paulin.

- I am happy that I succeeded and that I got to share the experience, he continues.

Paulin, who holds several world records, took the walk to celebrate France's annual Heritage Day, when people are invited to visit buildings and monuments that are usually closed to the public.
