With our correspondent in Bamako,

Serge Daniel

The French Minister of the Armed Forces met with her Malian counterpart to convey a political message.

"

Where there is a will, there is a way and we need to make sure that there is a will here in Mali, to support the ECOWAS to bring this process of political transition, this return to democracy, good governance and justice

 ”, launched Florence Parly.

Clearly, Paris is concerned about the political transition underway in the country with several questions, in particular on the respect of deadlines or the inclusiveness of the approach of the Malian government.

But by making the trip to Bamako, the French minister had another message: France will remain alongside Mali in the fight against terrorism.

Relations between our units and our staffs are excellent.

What it is about is to intensify our cooperation to fight in partnership thanks

to the Takouba force

, and I would like to salute the commitment and the courage of the Malian armed forces

 ”, affirmed the Minister.

Finally on

the Wagner file

, named after the Russian private military company, according to our information the two parties spoke very frankly on this subject.
